Events for everyone in your family!
Many of you have asked for events that the whole family can attend—join us at the following activities throughout the conference!
FRIDAY NIGHT —Pizza and a movie! Join us Friday night beginning at 7:45pm for complimentary pizza, soft drinks and a movie! This event is sponsored by the Allegheny County EMS Council!
SATURDAY NIGHT—Popcorn, cracker-jacks, apple pie and movie night! Join us Saturday night beginning at 8:00pm for popcorn and other treats that you can enjoy while watching a movie on the big screen! This event is sponsored by Pediatrics at AGH Suburban!
Go to the bottom of this page and vote on which movie you want to see each night. You’ll have until March 19, 2008 to vote. Pick your favorite family movie and get ready to have some fun! The two top vote getters will be chosen and one shown Friday and the other on Saturday!





Due to a change in production, Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Water Horse: Legends of the Deep movies are not available.
ATTENTION: THERE WILL BE NO SMOKING INSIDE OF CONVENTION HALL DURING ANY PARTY. There will be a designated smoking area outside of convention hall. We ask that for everyone's safety and health, that you DO NOT smoke inside of Convention Hall during the social events on Friday and Saturday night. Thank you!
Several special evening events have been planned to make this years conference memorable! Admission to both of these events is managed and controlled by Western Regional EMS Inc.
Please note that ticket prices to the Friday Night Throwdown Hoedown and Saturday Night 21st Birthday Party are now $10 each. This increase in price is needed for additional security staff.

Saturday Night - March 29, 2008 - Twenty-First Birthday Party
SATURDAY SOCIAL EVENT
We finally turn 21 and legal in 2008 and you’re invited to our party!
Doors open at 9pm, and beer is available at reduced prices until 1am. Soft drinks are free and wine and mixed drinks can be purchased at bar prices. You must be 21 or older to attend, and you must have a ticket, as per Pennsylvania law.
Additional tickets can be purchased prior to the event and at the door as they last.
STAT MedEvac is sponsoring a Black and Gold Celebration on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Contact them for more information. This event is sponsored by STAT MedEvac and is not part of the EMS Update 2008 conference.
Don't miss the 6th Annual Seven Springs Pond Skim and Meltdown Party, Saturday, March 29, 2008. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the skimming starts at Noon. Participants must be 14 years of age or older. Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded. No admission fee to watch! For more information, call Seven Springs Ski Patrol at 800-452-2223, ext. 7814. This event is sponsored by Seven Springs Resort and is not a part of the EMS Update 2008 conference.
As per Pennsylvania law, only those persons 21 years of age and older are permitted to join us at the Friday and Saturday social events in Convention Hall. Identification will be checked at the door and throughout the evening.
To receive a complimentary ticket to the Friday night social event, you must register and attend classes on Friday. To receive a complimentary ticket to the Saturday night social event, you must register and attend classes on Saturday.
Additional social event tickets will be available for purchase in Stag Pass during registration hours until sold out. Tickets are $10 per night.
Note that lost tickets for social events WILL NOT BE REPLACED. There are also no refunds for tickets to the social events.
Note: Seven Springs security will check all identification at the social events and all entertainment venues at the resort. Attendees must show proper identification to be permitted entrance. Seven Springs prosecutes those people misrepresenting themselves or producing false and/or altered identification. Undercover security agents monitor the social events for persons buying and supplying alcohol for minors. No liquor may be brought into the resort, including the parties.
An admission ticket is mandatory to enter the Friday and Saturday night social events. Preference for the limited number of tickets available is given to those registered for classes. Due to fire marshal regulations, only a limited number of tickets are available for sale.
